Girls As Game Designers RETURN TO ALIEN GAMES HOME PAGE RANK ORDER FAVORITES Comparisons by Gender and Grade This page shows differences in ratings (from most favorite to least favorite) boys and girls assigned to the 8 games. Respondents first viewed all four fifth grade games, and ranked them from most favorite (1) to least favorite (4). Then they saw all four 8th grade promos and ranked them from most favorite (1) to least favorite (4). Overall rankings are shown first, comparing 5th+6th graders with 7th+8th graders and boys with girls. Statistical significance of gender and grade differences are reported, as well as any interaction effect (int). Next results for 5th grade girl promos, 5th grade boy promos, 8th grade girl promos, and 8th grade boy promos are reported. Finally, the combined girl promos are analyzed, followed by combined boy promos. Results are extremely consistent and highly significant. |
